I said it first almost a year and a half ago in this blog entry: the only way the Republicans stood a chance was by nominating Ron Paul. Instead of listening, they chose to go with the absolute worst candidate they had running.
You see, the country is weary of Bush. The country is weary of war. The country is weary of being told that they should be afraid of a few boogeymen who live in caves in the middle east. The country is sick of being lied to about things that are obvious lies. So they’re looking for change and they are gladly going to support a candidate who looks like change–even if he isn’t.
Imagine how they would have supported a candidate who stood for real change and had the record to back up his claims. But, “I told you so’s” isn’t really why I am writing this entry.
Really, I’m writing it to tell you what you have been telling me and my fellow third party voters for years: Your guy can’t win. If you cast a vote for John McCain, you are throwing your vote away. Obama has this locked up and will win in a landslide.
So make your vote count. Vote third party. Both Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party nominee, and Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party nominee, stand for and support the things you believe in. It’s true that neither of these candidates can win either; but at least a vote for one of them is a vote that you can walk away from with a good conscience.
A vote for Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin is not a vote for Obama if Obama has it locked up either way. So show your disgust with the Republican party. Show your disgust with the system that nominated the worst possible candidate. Do it by giving your vote to a person who actually deserves it. Or throw your vote away and vote for McCain.
Your choice.

So, will Obama even be on the ballot since they’re debating if he was truly born on US soil? If he wasn’t, then he will not be on the ballot and that will change everything.
As for Barr/Baldwin… I’ve been planning on voting on Barr but I just found out Baldwin just made it on to the Wisconsin ballot for this coming November and now I’ve been left wondering who I should write on the back of the Jeep… LoL. No, but seriously, I’m not sure who to cast my vote for and knowing most Ron Paul supporters are split between the two it lessens the chances of one (of the two) coming close to the two parties so really it makes me wonder… who originally though “can’t wait till I can tell the fellow men about my idea… Voting”.

… The rumor you’re perpetuating about him not being a natural born citizen were debunked before the primaries were even really started seriously. Snopes has a debunking of the Obama isn’t a natural born citizen because his mother wasn’t a resident long enough at an old enough age myth from June 08– http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/citizen.asp
There are a lot of reasons to dislike John McCain and Barack Obama, but I seriously have to wonder why people keep coming to things that are obviously false and not an issue when there are real issues you could be discussing and looking at.
Yes, John McCain is a citizen who was born in Panama, Yes, Barack Obama is a citizen who was born in the United States. There has never been any serious debate about either except by extremist right and left wing radio/television hosts.

I simply only heard the rumor on the radio earlier yesterday. Of course I jump into saying what I’ve heard. After I posted here I managed to actually look up more information on the subject to find it to be a rumor. Oh well, high hopes… now high hopes sit with McCain having a heart attack or something. LoL
