Site News: Holiday Header Images

March 5th, 2007 by Edmund Snyder · 2 Comments

Some people may have noticed my header images have been changed occasionally to celebrate various holidays. Examples of these have been my Valentine’s Day header, my President’s Day header, my Mardi Gras header, and currently my Kasimir Pulaski Day header. As well as having these, I have made a few with my image that I’ll randomly throw up just for the fun of it.

Of course, as everyone knows, Google does something similar.

I hope this makes the site a little more fun for my readers and that you enjoy seeing these images as much as I enjoy making them.

Images used so far include:

Standard Flada Header Background

Valentine’s Day Flada Header Background Image

Background Image for President’s Day

Mardi Gras Image for header Background

Kasimir Pulaski Day header image

Any image can be clicked for a full size view.

    Sania,

I’ve been using Paint Shop Pro for about 10 years (since Paint Shop Pro 3 from Jasc). Now it’s Paint Shop Pro 10 and they’ve since been purchased by Corel, but it’s still pretty decent software.

Of course there are free open source graphics softwares like The Gimp which, the way I understand it, is a really good program (and you can’t beat the price).

There are literally thousands of tutorials on the web. Just type “PSP tutorials” or “GIMP tutorials” into your Yahoo search bar and look at all the results. Then, just work your way through a bunch of tutorials. Before you know it you’ll be an expert.
